Santa Rosa National Park, Costa Rica

Marietta College Biology and Environmental Science Department Field Trip 2005/2007

Our first extended stay in 2005 was at Santa Rosa National Park in Guanacaste Province on the Northern Pacific coast of Costa Rica.  It was our last stop in 2007.  The habitat here is dry tropical forest; a pronounced dry season causes many of the trees to lose their leaves for part of the year (we arrived at the very end of the dry season).  Also located here was Playa Nancite, the subject of its own web page.
