Join us for the Marietta College premiere of "Sunstruck," produced by the Michigan Science Center! This program explores the various ways that the Sun can affect the Earth. This show will also include a star talk about the late summer evening sky.

Fall 2015: The Solar System, Extra-Solar Planets, and Extra-Terrestrial Life

Please join us for a series of programs exploring our Solar System, extra-solar planets, and the possibilities of extra-terrestrial life. Each program will begin with a look at the stars and planets visible in the current evening sky, but will then delve into different aspects of this topic. The September program, "Oasis in Space", will focus on our Solar System, the October program, "Undiscovered Worlds", will focus on the discovery of other Solar Systems, and the November program, "Space Aliens", will focus on the possibilities of life elsewhere.

Please join us for our annual presentation of the holiday program "Season of Light" ("Season of Light" was produced by Loch Ness Productions.) This program traces the history and development of numerous holiday traditions, including the Yule Log, mistletoe, and the Christmas tree. The program concludes by exploring possible astronomical explanations for the Christmas star. Preceding "Season of Light" will be a brief star talk focusing on the late December sky.
