When did you know Marietta College was the right school for you?

When I received my acceptance letter! Marietta made me feel welcomed and excited to have me join The Long Blue Line. I immediately felt a part of the College and it made the decision easy because not all schools gave the same feeling in their acceptance letters.

Favorite Marietta moment?

Meeting my husband.

Describe what life was like during your time at Marietta College.

I often refer to my days at Marietta as some of my favorite memories. I was very active in my sorority (Alpha Xi Delta) and loved chatting with Cheryl (Howell) in the Admission Office while working as a tour guide. Warm spring and fall days were always best spent somewhere outside on campus and Parsons was the place to be.

What impact did Marietta College have on your career?

Because Marietta has one of the top Petroleum Engineering programs in the country it has provided me so many networking connections in my career. It is amazing how big the oil & gas industry is and how many Marietta alums are in the field. I have yet to be at an industry event where I didn’t either meet someone who went to Marietta or knew someone who graduated from Marietta.

What does it mean to be a Pioneer?

Being a Pioneer means I always have a “family” to reach out too no matter where I am in the world and always having a place to call home.
